Win Lifts Spirits in Palo Alto

Just one week ago, the Stanford Cardinal were facing a winless season. Standout receiver Evan Moore was considering transferrng for his final year of eligibility and safety David Lofton's career was pronounced as finished on the Farm.

But the 20-3 win over the Washington Huskies, whose coach Ty Willingham recruited many Stanford seniors has brought a happy feeling to the program for once.

Playing against Willingham was a motivator for the Farm according to quarterback T.C Ostrander who told the San Francisco Chronicle, "I think there was more on it for everybody (Saturday)...We've been battling ourselves a lot the whole season. We had an opportunity and we took it."
